Adult Survivors of Childhood Trauma & Critical Incidents
Are you struggling with intrusive negative thoughts, flashbacks, or sleeplessness due to operational stress injuries from your work as a healthcare professional, first responder, or Soldier/Veteran? Perhaps you have negative memories of childhood trauma, or you are a victim of sexual assault, and you suffer from symptoms related to a critical incident that you survived.
If you find yourself stuck in hypervigilance, quick to anger, feeling emotionally numb, or always on edge, these responses are normal after experiencing trauma. Over time, these incidents can overwhelm the brain and nervous system, potentially leading to PTSD.
Eye movement desensitization therapy can help process the trauma, alleviating these negative symptoms. It's also beneficial for complex post-traumatic stress resulting from childhood trauma. I provide online therapy and a safe space to help make sense of past events.
As a certified EMDR therapist, consultant, and educator, I have extensive experience in treating complex post-traumatic stress injuries. I earned my Master’s in Social Work at UBC and am a registered social worker and clinical counsellor. I offer online therapy for individuals across the Lower Mainland and British Columbia, providing support and guidance for those struggling with post-traumatic stress injuries.
